Enjoy a pork schnitzel with a fried egg and mashed potatoes

A pork schnitzel is a thick breaded pork cutlet. Or at least it is at Kat’s. The breading is lightly seasoned, and the pork cutlet is fried on a pan so that the meat is tender with its natural juices. It goes really well with a fried egg on top and of course homemade mashed potatoes. Be patient as this meal takes a bit of time to make and lots of love. At Kat’s we actually tenderize the meat right before we make it from scratch. We do not pull out a pre-made cutlet and reheat it. As a result, you get an authentic homemade country style pork cutlet just made, straight from the kitchen. This is pretty much as fresh as it gets especially considering we use locally sourced ingredients! Oh, the fried egg? Yes, that’s just something that adds to the whole wonderful taste of it all.
