2025 Valentine’s Day Weekend Live Music

This Valentine’s Day Weekend event has passed. We’re keeping this page as an example of the live music, prix fixe dining, BYOB-friendly atmosphere, and homemade Valentine’s meals guests enjoyed at Kat’s Café & Restaurant in 2025. The 1st Annual Valentine’s Day Weekend Live Music event (2/14/25 – 2/16/25) at Kat’s Cafe & Restaurant happened in style! Guests enjoyed live music from talented local musicians – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In addition to the regular menu, Chef Kat prepared a special prix fixe menu just for the occasion along with featured specials.

As an added treat, guests were allowed to bring classic vinyl records during lunch hours each day. It was a great 3-Day event!

2025 Performance Line Up

Local and regional talented performers from the 2025 Valentine’s Day Weekend Live Music event are featured below. Guests enjoyed delicious food, a welcoming ambiance, and other exciting surprises. The dining experience at Kat’s was memorable with great food and the addition of live music!

February 14, 2025 (Friday)

On February 14, 2025, guests enjoyed a Valentine’s Day duet performance by Paul and Loretta from The Troubles. The now duet is a local Irish American band with musical roots in rock, traditional Irish, bluegrass, coal cracker, and the blues.

February 15, 2025 (Saturday)

On February 15, 2025, Denny Hardock was back at Kat’s Café & Restaurant, Saturday from 4-7pm, with his acoustic guitar, vocals, and pleasant accompaniment. Despite his long absences, Kat’s is always thrilled to see Denny transform into a one-man band again, captivating guests with his electrifying musical journey known as Hardrock Live.

February 16, 2025 (Sunday)


On February 16, 2025, John Derk closed out the 3-Day Valentine’s Weekend Event at Kat’s Café & Restaurant with an acoustic set and serenaded us with musical favorites from the 60s through the 90s. Everyone liked his performance so much that he came back in 2026 with a duet! Both times it was an unforgettable evening of great food and live music.

Kat’s is known for the fresh quality of the food it offers. That’s why it helps to have an idea of how many guests to expect. This helps the kitchen plan ahead. Walk-ins are always welcome, but reservations are encouraged. If interested in attending a future event, reserve a table in advance.


2026 Valentine’s Day—Brunch, Dinner & Live Music

This Valentine’s Day event has also passed. The 2026 Valentine’s Day event at Kat’s Café & Restaurant was unforgettable. Guests enjoyed a special brunch all day and a 3-course dinner menu prepared from scratch by Chef Kat, extended hours, and a live music evening performance in a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Brunch Was Served All Day

A special brunch was served all day in addition to the regular menu and 3-course prix fixe dinner options.

3-Course Dinner

Each dinner course included two chef-selected options — all homemade and crafted for sharing for Valentine’s Day at Kat’s.

Valentine’s Day Menu for Kat’s Café & Restaurant featuring a 3-course meal ($75 per person): Starters—berry salad with 3 large shrimp or 2 sliders (1 beef & 1 kielbasa); Entrées—cast iron cooked salmon with roasted potatoes and sautéed garlic-spinach or smoked brisket with roasted potatoes and root vegetables medley; Desserts—slice of homemade cake or cheesecake/crème brûlée in a mason jar; note to see regular menu for more items; signed “Chef Kat.”

This special menu was offered on Saturday (Feb 14) for Valentine’s Day only.

Guests enjoyed live music on Saturday evening for Valentine’s Day featuring John Derk and Allison Bordlemay performing together as a duet.


John Derk has played at Kat’s in the past and keyboards in a Stevie Nicks tribute band and performed with a Reba McEntire impersonator. He has shared the stage with artists such as Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Allison Bordlemay was a contestant on American Idol Season 7, advancing to the Hollywood Round, and also appeared as a contestant on The Voice.


Together, they brought a dynamic mix of experience, musicianship, and vocal talent—creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable Valentine’s Day celebration at Kat’s as always.

Guests were permitted to bring their favorite wine or beer to pair with their meals. Kat’s provided the glassware and corkscrew service. The BYOB policy is subject to change.
