Ethnic Dishes and Family Traditions

Kat's Cafe and Restaurant is in the news again this time for its Polish Holy Supper Event in Minersville, Pennsylvania, on December 24, 2024.
We are overjoyed that both of Kat’s Christmas Eve dinners were a hit. It warms our hearts to see the Polish Holy Supper event getting recognition in the media. It’s heartwarming to know that our guests enjoyed the unique ethnic dishes prepared with care for Wigilia, and enthusiastically took part in the beloved customs we cherish each Christmas season. We’re truly grateful that our traditions were highlighted in such a special way, and that there are others who value the customs we continue to carry on and pass down through generations, fueled by love. Love is truly the key ingredient that brings it all together, shared by everyone during the afternoon and evening celebrations.

Coming Together on Christmas Eve

‘Twas the night before Christmas and content bellies were stirring all throughout Kat’s. Family, friends, and guests had just come together. It was Kat’s Polish Holy Supper! Twelve unique dishes served. All in observance of Christmas Eve traditions. Food made with love.

Guests had the pleasure of indulging in a truly unforgettable culinary adventure. The menu featured a diverse selection of flavors, showcasing a wide array of traditional Polish dishes. Attendees savored hearty soups, flavorful fish dishes, a variety of delicious fillings, and the renowned croquette (playfully dubbed the “Polish vegetarian burrito” by one guest). In addition to the scrumptious offerings, guests enjoyed a unique assortment of salads, both hot and cold desserts, refreshing natural fruit punch, and engaging, heartwarming conversations.
